Shoe Box Appeal

Can you help us by filling a shoebox, information leaflets available – please take one. Filled boxes should be brought  to Church by Sunday 20th October or to the Church Hall on Sunday 27th  October.

Since 1993 Blythswood’s Shoe Box Appeal has delivered over 2.6 million boxes to people in need. This years Shoeboxes will be distributed in Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine. It’s easy to choose gifts for people that have so little. Shampoo, a pair of socks, a notepad, a small toy, a bag of sweets - things we take for granted will seem like luxuries to people living in poverty. By filling a shoebox with simple things you can bring hope this Christmas. 2024 Leaflets, with details, are available from Meldrum Parish Church or the Church Hall, for the convenience of groups using the Hall. Filled Shoeboxes should be dropped off by Sunday 20th October 2024, to the Church, or by 27th October 2024, to the Church Hall.
