Community Christmas Tree Project

We are inviting everyone in the community to take part in a Community Christmas Tree Project. Any local businesses, clubs, societies, charities, school classes, families and individuals are invited to contribute elegant, quirky, or entertainingly decorated trees which transform Meldrum Church and Hall into a Christmas wonderland.

The church will be open for various events throughout the month of December for the trees to be on display. But our main open day is on the 17th of December from 10.00am – 3.00pm.

All we ask is for each entrant to let us know your expected height and width of your tree so we can pre-select a suitable place. Ideally narrow bases and use of battery powered fairy lights will suit the space best - but don’t let us hamper your creative flare! If you could note your interest, and proposed measurements by Monday 21st of November. Set up would be anytime from 2pm-6pm on Friday the 25th of November.

Included are pictures from last year’s wonderful event. Which saw trees designed by individuals from the community as well as organisations including Co-Op Oldmeldrum, Physiotherapy and Pilates Company, Meldrum Health Walks, Ramblers, Oldmeldrum Green Growing Space, Meldrum Primary School, St. Matthew and St. George Church just to name a few. Last year our overall winner was St. Matthew and St. George Episcopal Church, below is their winning tree!
